Yoko tried the left lead
Since April 6, Starlight has been using the Balancing Rain recommended by Mr Honda. This divice forces him to lower his head, therefore he cannot warp his back. Because it makes him use his back, he doesn't feel pain in his back. Starlight hasn't done the left lead work out for several months except Mr Honda was here for lessons. On last weekend, Mr Honda phoned me and requested a thorough excercise on the left lead, so Yoko tried the left lead work out in both trot and canter today.We were little anxious about the result though. With the tight rein and a rounded back, his gaits were pretty stable. We couldn't recognize lameness. He extended his hind legs well, and the gait looked pretty good. In canter, due to insufficient strength in the hind leg, the gait looked a little odd, yet the beat was OK.
Starlight will do his left lead work out in a ratio of seven (right) to three (left) in the first week and we will increase the ratio gradually. Hopefully I will be riding him without worrying about his left hind leg soon.
Because of the people who helped us sincerely, Starlight was able to recover from the injure. Many thanks to you all.
